Ping-pong Block Project is a series of furniture pieces co-created with children using offcuts from the manufacture of table tennis rackets. As table tennis rackets are made by laminating several types of wood, the manufacturing process generates offcuts with unique grains, colours, and layered structures. Rather than seeing these fragments as waste, we reinterpreted them as materials with unexplored potential and developed them into furniture that nurtures relationships between people.
「Ping-pong Block Project」
